Introducing The Strandberg Boden Singularity NX 7 Pitch Black

The wait is finally over, Singularity has officially landed in India.

This isn’t just another extended-range guitar entering the market; it represents a refined evolution of modern guitar design, developed in close collaboration with progressive virtuoso Per Nilsson.

What makes this fourth-generation Singularity particularly compelling is its balance between accessibility and uncompromising performance. .strandberg* has carefully retained the tonal identity and ergonomic brilliance that made earlier iterations so respected, while enhancing playability for a wider range of players.

At its core, the instrument features a basswood body paired with a solid swamp ash top, a classic combination that delivers clarity, punch, and responsiveness across the frequency spectrum. The result is a tone that remains articulate under high gain yet expressive and open during clean passages.

This versatility is further elevated by the Swedish-engineered Lundgren Anomaly pickups, which bring remarkable dynamic range without over-compression, allowing the player’s nuance to truly shine.

One of the standout aspects, as expected from .strandberg*, is the neck. The roasted maple EndurNeck, now reinforced with titanium rods, offers exceptional stability and resonance. It feels fast, natural, and incredibly reliable—qualities that are essential for demanding 7-string players navigating everything from intricate progressive passages to aggressive rhythmic work.

The multi-scale configuration (25.5”–26.25”) ensures optimal string tension and intonation, particularly for the low B, while the lightweight construction around 2.5 kg makes it one of the most comfortable extended-range guitars available today. Add to that the Ebonol fretboard, stainless steel frets, and the precision-engineered EGS Rev7 hardware system, and you’re looking at an instrument built for longevity as much as performance.

What truly sets the Singularity apart, however, is its ability to transcend genre expectations. While it is undoubtedly a powerhouse for modern metal, its tonal clarity and responsiveness make it equally suited for fusion, ambient, and experimental styles.
