Description

On the hunt for an ambitious and assertive acoustic-electric? Taylor’s 326ce powerhouse combines classic Grand Symphony projection with new additions like V-Class bracing and a hybrid Florentine cutaway with a soundhole for an acoustic guitar that’s potent, dynamic, and versatile all at once. With a full mahogany build and a 20-fret ebony fingerboard, strummed chords shine with full-bodied clarity, yet also clean up nice when fingerpicking thanks to excellent balance and response enhanced by V-Class technology. Expect chunky midrange, warm lows, and balanced highs that sound great either acoustic or plugged-in via the onboard ES2 electronics. Sweetwater players on the hunt for supersized Taylor voice look no further than the 326ce!

A Grand Symphony of charisma

Taylor’s assertive Grand Symphony shape first entered the scene in 2006 as the Grand Auditorium’s turbo-charged big sibling. The Grand Symphony beefs up Grand Auditorium’s size with a larger profile, wider waist, and bigger lower bout but retains the balance and comfort tat made the Grand Auditorium such a success. The result is a bold Taylor guitar with enhanced volume, projection, and sustain that’s ideal for strong players from strummers to flatpickers. Recently revoiced in 2020, today’s Grand Symphony shape combines cutting edge V-Class bracing with an innovative soundhole for surround-sound projection that’s unmatched in the acoustic world.

Full mahogany construction

With the 326ce’s mahogany neck, top, back, and sides, you can expect tone that’s round and full with exceptional mid-range definition. Sweetwater guitarists find the 326ce has a slightly darker more vintage sound than a typical spruce top Taylor guitar. Yet despite its enhanced low end, the 326ce still delivers the signature treble punch that Taylors are known for, a quality that really helps the guitar stand out in dense live mixes.

Revolutionary V-Class bracing

Bracing supports each and every acoustic guitar’s interior, and, though it’s almost invisible, bracing shapes guitar acoustics in a big way! X-shape bracing was standard on acoustics for over a century, but Taylor’s revolutionary V-bracing is able to tease more volume and sustain out of a guitar’s sound chamber. V-bracing allows wooden acoustic tops to vibrate with more richness, projection, and sustain with more space inside the sound chamber for note maturation. And if that wasn’t enough, this groundbreaking innovation also improves intonation and adds more overtones — those subtle harmonic eccentricities that add sparkle to top-of-the-line acoustic guitars like the 326ce.

Cutting-edge Taylor Expression System 2 electronics

Need to plug in? Then you’re going to love the Taylor Expression System 2 electronics built into the 326ce! The ES2 system features a revolutionary segmented pickup located behind the bridge saddle; this pickup position delivers remarkably accurate and clear sound production that’s authentic to your playing. Each ES2 system features a handy master volume knob for fast level adjustments, in addition to a 2-band EQ for independent treble/bass adjustments to get the sound you need. Plus, the ES2 system also has a built-in phase switch, which offers essential feedback suppression whenever the system is active.
