Studio-grade Compressor Pedal w/ Neve Transformer

Bogner Lyndhurst Compressor Pedal

Loaded with a Rupert Neve-designed transformer, this compressor pedal puts the coveted sound of a classic recording console onto your pedalboard. Its built-in studio-grade preamp brings out every nuance of your instrument before its signal even hits the compressor. The Lyndhurst employs the same state-of-the-art VCA technology that’s used for expensive outboard gear. You can expect truckloads of rich harmonics and vintage warmth when you plug into this pedal. The Lyndhurst is meant to be the end-all-be-all of compressors, and it may well be the only one you need. From subtle sheen to chicken pickin’ squash to clear limiting, the Lyndhurst tackles every situation with ease.

Nail every form of compression with a single pedal

Close your eyes. Picture your favorite studio compressor. Now imagine packing it into a stompbox. Open your eyes and what do you see? The Bogner Lyndhurst! Crank the Ratio control, pick a fast attack time, and create some country twang. Back off the compression, flip the EQ switch to the S position, and dial in the perfect level of shimmer and sustain. Simply put — this pedal nails every form of compression with ease. When we tested the Lyndhurst here at Sweetwater, we also found that diming its Inp/Comp control creates enough grit to rival our favorite overdrive pedals.

Make every performance sound like a professional recording

Even when you’re not squashing your guitar’s dynamics, the Lyndhurst is still a vital part of your tone. Its built-in studio-grade preamp and Rupert Neve-designed transformer exhibit the three-dimensional clarity of a vintage Neve console. Just putting the Lyndhurst in your effects chain gives your guitar the sheen of a perfectly produced studio recording. You’re guaranteed to hear details of your instrument and playing that you never noticed before.

The man behind the amps

Though Reinhold Bogner began designing and building amplifiers long before leaving Germany for the U.S. in 1989, his career really took off soon after arriving in Los Angeles. He quickly gained the trust of many influential players including Steve Stevens, Dan Huff, Allan Holdsworth, Mike Landau, and Steve Vai, who all sought out his skill of modifying and custom building their amps. Eddie Van Halen entrusted Reinhold to overhaul and revitalize his number one Marshall Plexi, and the results were great. Soon after, Bogner Amplification was born, and the rest, as they say, is history.
