At the core of this harness are DiMarzio’s custom-designed 250K pots. Developed over 45 years ago, these pots deliver the smooth, graduated taper that characterized the finest vintage ’50s guitars. Using a 10-step rotary switch, DiMarzio crafted a custom taper that is neither linear nor audio-based, but instead optimized for their high-performance pickups. This ensures that every nuance of your playing is captured with clarity and precision.
To guarantee durability, the center shaft and threaded components are made from solid machined brass, avoiding the pitfalls of cheaper cast alternatives. This assembly also includes a premium 5-way CRL-style switch, known for its reliability and smooth operation, as well as a Switchcraft output jack. Both black and white switch tips are provided to suit your aesthetic preferences.
The wiring harness is hand-assembled and rigorously tested in the USA, using only the finest components from industry leaders like Switchcraft®, Sprague®, and CTS®.
