Drawing on the compression technology introduced in the Gainlab Bishop channel strip, the Governor expands this concept into a fully dedicated stereo/dual-mono dynamics processor with enhanced flexibility, making it an essential tool for tracking, mixing, and mastering.

At its core, the Governor uses a dual-threshold (dual slope) design, enabling engineers to set two independent compression stages within a single unit. The first stage delivers a smooth, musical response with a softer knee, while the second engages at a higher threshold with a steeper curve and more aggressive ratio.
