The Gainlab Audio Lieutenant is a professional-grade monitor controller and studio command station designed to be the central hub of any modern production environment. With four selectable input sources (two balanced stereo analog, one digital S/PDIF, and one Bluetooth 5.4), the Lieutenant allows seamless switching between reference material, audio interfaces, and wireless devices. Its three balanced stereo outputs can be routed to multiple monitor pairs or destinations, with automatic or manual output trimming to maintain consistent volume levels across systems. A relay-based volume control ensures precise, transparent level adjustments.

Designed for advanced studio workflows, the Lieutenant also integrates an independent Cue loop with headphone monitoring, a talkback system for communication with performers, and a Focus function to isolate low, mid, or high-frequency ranges for critical mix evaluation.

Beyond monitoring, the Lieutenant acts as a studio power sequencer, capable of controlling up to three independent power zones. This allows you to automate startup and shutdown sequences—for example, powering on the computer and interface first, monitors second, and outboard gear last. Shutdown follows the reverse order, protecting your system and streamlining daily use.
