Description
Big Sound from a Small Guitar
A walnut wonder
The gorgeous grain of the top, back, and sides give this guitar away: walnut as far as the eye can see. Of course, you also get the balanced playability of a maple neck and an environmentally responsible Crelicam ebony fingerboard. But back to the walnut: give this guitar a strum and it will greet you with a bright top end, warm overtones, and plenty of delightful projection. It’s easy to spend hours lost in the gentle tones or powerful projection possible within the Big Baby BBTe Walnut.
Big Baby body shape provides standout volume
The Big Baby is the largest of Taylor’s small-bodied guitars. Coming in at 15/16 the size of a standard dreadnought, this guitar feels like a small-bodied guitar while producing the volume and tonal characteristics of a full-sized dreadnought. This makes it perfect for beginners or those who don’t like the feel of a full-sized guitar. In addition to its noteworthy volume production, this guitar is perfectly suited as a travel guitar. The Big Baby is easy to take to gigs and sounds great while plugged in.
Onboard ES-B electronics deliver great plugged-in tone
One of the defining features of this guitar is the onboard ES-B electronics. It uses the same behind-the-saddle pickup design of the acclaimed ES-2 pickup while also providing an onboard preamp and built-in digital chromatic tuner. With its simple volume and tone knobs, using this guitar live is easy — just plug in and start playing. The preamp and tuner can be used for up to 300 hours of use, so changing batteries constantly won’t be an issue.
