Subharaj Ghosh is a versatile guitarist, bassist, and music educator based in Kolkata, India. A self-taught musician, he started with small gigs and teaching beginners before earning a degree from Berklee College of Music in Boston. With over 10 years of experience, Subharaj has worked as a session player, live performer, music educator, instrument tech, and recently, in instrument sales. Known for his boundaryless approach to spontaneous composition as a solo guitarist, he also shares his passion for music as a private instructor, online faculty at The Goa Jazz Academy, and guitar faculty at Calcutta International School.

Q. How would you describe the tonal characteristics of the INFELD BRONZE strings compared to other brands you’ve used?
Subharaj: The Infeld strings have a bright (but balanced which you can hear in the demos. Unlike some other brands, the brightness is musical.
Q. Have you noticed any changes in your dynamic range while using these strings? How do they respond to both soft and aggressive playing styles?
Subharaj: I won’t say any changes in dynamic range, rather, it adapts to your dynamic range more effortlessly.
Q. Can you share your thoughts on the sustain and resonance of the INFELD BRONZE strings?
Subharaj: The sustain is as expected from a high-end string set. The resonance on the other hand is what I truly enjoyed the most about these strings!
Q. Have you experienced any differences in harmonic overtones when using the INFELD BRONZE strings?
Subharaj: Yes, the harmonic overtones are more prominent especially when you let the strings ring out instead of muting.
Q. How was your experience with the initial setup and tuning stability of the INFELD BRONZE strings? Did they settle in quickly, and how well did they hold their tuning during the performance?
Subharaj: They settled pretty effortlessly, dropped tuning maybe twice, but that was hardly anything.
Q. After using the INFELD BRONZE strings for a while, how do you feel they’ve influenced your overall sound and performance?
Subharaj: The passion and love behind manufacturing great strings is evident in this set, and that only makes the playing experience even more enjoyable.
