Q. What initially attracted you to Taylor acoustic guitars, and how did you first become acquainted with the brand?
Yuvraj: The first Taylor I played was a baby Taylor in a studio session and was really surprised by how balanced it sounded overall. This was the first time I came across a Taylor acoustic before getting one myself.
Q. Tell us about your guitar. Can you describe the specific qualities or features of Taylor guitars that made you choose them over other acoustic guitar brands?
Yuvraj: I own a Taylor 214-CE, I call her “Luna” and the thing which made me buy her was the back and side wood which was “Koa.” It sounded quite different from other acoustic guitars as it had a midrange sound and a different sort of chime and brightness to it. The clarity on the instrument was just amazing.

Yuvraj: I’ve had this Taylor acoustic for almost a year now and I’ve used it regularly for a lot of sessions and gigs and it still feels as new as it was a year ago when I played it for the first time. It still feels and sounds as fresh and good as how it used to be if not better.

Yuvraj: I’ve always been into minimalist side of things rather than the flashier stuff and these guitars are just so beautiful visually. Everything on the instrument has a purpose and feels natural.

Yuvraj: I’ve always been a fan of Grand auditorium body shape as it feels natural in my hands and is really comfortable to play even for long hours.

Yuvraj: To be honest, apart from maintaining the humidity level there’s not much there is that I had to do in order to maintain the guitar. A basic setup after string change and maintaining a steady temperature while storing it is all it needs.

Yuvraj: These are the most clear and well-balanced guitars present right now and I would really suggest that do try the “not so common” wood combinations before choosing a guitar. The different models have so much to offer and you might be surprised as of what you fall in love with.
